About Hafsa Madi

Hello, I’m Hafsa Madi, and I believe that art has the power to transform not just spaces, but souls. My journey with painting began over a decade ago, but long before that—as a child—I was always drawing, filling sketchbooks with images inspired by the world around me.

I was born and raised in a small village in Algeria, surrounded by mountains, animals, and the sounds and scents of nature. Every morning, I woke to a window filled with green plants and the gentle light of a quiet landscape. My parents’ house was large and full of life, with a spacious garden that felt like a world of its own. Those early memories continue to inspire me deeply.

Though I started painting seriously 10 years ago, my work has since grown to include a variety of mediums like watercolor, oil, and acrylic. I explore different color palettes—sometimes soft and dreamy, other times rich and earthy—depending on the mood I want to express.

My art is rooted in emotion, memory, and the beauty of stillness. I try to capture those subtle, often overlooked moments—a quiet sky, a fleeting shadow, the peace of a silent morning. Each painting is created with care, inviting viewers to pause and connect.
